Local store celebrates with community donations, student-led ribbon cutting, and ice cream scoops.
GURDON, AR (May 14, 2025) — The Neighborly, an Arkansas family-owned and community-focused convenience store, is proud to invite the public to a special Grand Reopening Celebration at its Gurdon location on Wednesday, May 14 at 5:30 PM.
The event will feature:
A grant presentation to Gurdon High School
A student-led drumroll and ribbon cutting by a senior drummer from the Gurdon High School Band
Free samples of our new ice cream program and $1 ice cream scoops for all guests
“We’re a family-owned business, and this community means everything to us,” said Ethan Blackmon, CEO of The Neighborly. “At a time when hometown stores are being replaced by big chains, we’re proud to keep our roots in Gurdon and give back to the people who make it special.”
Local press, city officials, school partners, and all community members are encouraged to attend this celebration of small-town spirit and neighborly pride.
